The Hubertus Chapel in St. Ruprecht an der Raab is beautifully located directly on the Kernkapellen or Panorama Trail. The chapel, dedicated to St. Hubert, the patron saint of hunters, serves as a chapel for hunters.
The Hubertus Chapel, designed by renowned woodcarver Hans Pendl, stands alongside the Peace Grotto, the Kern Chapel, the "Blessing Place" for children, and the Arndorf Prayer Cross as a place of reflection and spiritual encounter. It is one of the seven sites on the "7 Places 7 Treasures" trail, which connects the Burgthanner Trail and the Kernkapellen Trail, leading past seven places which house unique treasures. All seven places are connected to the well-known woodcarver Hans Pendl.
The Hubertus Chapel was established in 1980 at the initiative of the hunters and has been used for numerous hunting events. It was repainted in 2010, and nearly 30 years after its construction, a renovation became necessary. In collaboration with planner Alfred Mörth, Rupert Hütter, the local head of the Kühwiesen Hunting Society, Heribert Eitljörg, the master of gamekeeping of District 13, artist Johann Pendl, Alexander Zierler, Hans Wiedenhofer, and many other dedicated volunteers, the chapel was completely renovated in 2018, and the area surrounding the chapel was redesigned.
