A special place of peace and relaxation is offered by the Stefaniequelle in St. Ruprecht an der Raab - a lovingly designed place of power.
This spring, known for centuries, is located in the so-called forest park and invites visitors to linger in the middle of the forest. At this historical place of power, the Stefaniequelle, we reflect on the importance of water for us humans. Since the 18th century, people have been visiting this spring to relieve eye ailments through external washes and to maintain eye health. The humic acid contained in the forest spring could be responsible for this. The spring, in its current form, was established more than 40 years ago and lovingly renovated a few years ago and again in 2020. It is now a popular destination for guests seeking peace and relaxation while strolling along the "Burgthannerweg" and the Hans Pendl wood carving hiking trail "7 Places 7 Treasures." The wood relief made from lime wood was crafted by Hans Pendl. In keeping with the water theme, Hans Pendl depicts a woman's head here (depending on the interpretation, St. Catherine or Stefanie) with a water droplet.
