When hiking dreams come true
You will be amazed at how varied the landscape and the history of the valley are. Stunningly beautiful vineyard slopes that meander along the Baden Wine Route and extensive orchards and fruit farms with strawberries, cherries and apples. From the vine and fruit landscape of the Rhine valley, it heads up to the Black Forest heights towards the Black Forest National Park with magnificent views of the Renchtal.
The Renchtal has around 800 kilometres of signposted hiking trails. These paths and trails lead to the Black Forest peaks, high moors and viewpoints, through gorges and over ridges, and also passes through orchards and vineyards. Is the next viewing tower the goal or “only” en route? For those who want to hike the entire Renchtal, they can do this in three, four or five stages on the 100-kilometre-long Renchtalsteig trail. It never gets boring! There is a lot to discover: castles, geotopes, the highest fir trees and most beautiful viewing towers, magically empowering locations for forest bathing, aromatic smells in the air, schnapps fountains and great places to stop off for food along the way. Comfort and hospitality for all! Note: The legendary stop-offs are always in season. Hikers are very welcome!
