Take the gondola to the Markbachjoch at 1495 m (free with the WildschönauCard) Enjoy the fantastic views of the Wilder Kaiser mountains. Follow the easy path nr. 2 to the Kasalm (Cheese Farm) past lovely high pastures and the cows enjoying the summer grazing. In July and August a twice weekly guided tour of the dairy offers a interesting insight into the cheese production. Cheeses are on sale. Find our more about the tour at the Tourist Office. Continue along nr. 2 to the tiny Horler Stiegl Chapel, and then on route 23 to the Norderberg Alm.
The lovely hut offers a delicious breakfast daily from 9.30 am as well as Tirolean specialties and homemade cakes.
It's then just a short walk of about 30 minutes back to the Markbachjoch gondola.
