We start at an altitude of 938 m, on the Minz path from Oberau up to one of the loveliest view points in the valley, the Boarstadl hut. A further 20 minutes uphill and we come to the Achental hut, famous for its views, snack and warm welcome. From here it’s just a short ascent to the wonderful Kragenjoch peak. The array of wild flowers growing here in spring and early summer have become a rarity elsewhere. The peak offers views over the Inn Valley. We stop into the hut on the way back for a well-earned rest. Our return journey takes us through blueberry fields and mountain moors back to Oberau.
