The starting point of the circular tour, is the Ponöfen car park. Cross the road above the car park and continue to the Gamsalm. After the Gamsalm turn left into the Bäreneckweg and continue to the ski slope (Tiroler Zugspitzbahn). Turn right at the slope and after a short ascent turn left into Söldentalweg. Follow this path until you reach the Hochthörle Hütte. Pass by the hut via the Thörlerunde back to the starting point in Ponöfen.
