From the mountain station of the Graukogel lift, follow the Alpenvereinssteig trail up to the Palfnersee lake. After crossing the Palfnerscharte, you reach the famous Reedsee, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes. Descend through the mountain forest back to the Kötschachtal valley and continue out of the valley to the Grüner Baum.
