The hike up to the Amoseralm (staffed, Tuesday und Wednesday closed) is punctuated by numerous gates and different paths, readily distracting you from the actual climb itself. One hut is followed by another - the Stoffalm is a jewel particular worthy of note. The trail continues through a dense mixed forest to the Huberalm. Already sensed, but not yet visible - a historic, forested pass with a chapel. The so called Drei Waller Kapelle stands alongside the pass at 1425 m above sea level, an ancient pilgrimage site. It is definitely worth continuing the hike all the way up to the Rauchkögerl (1810 m) - where the views of the broad Salzach river valley are quite impressive. The summit cross invites you to linger a magnificent view before starting the descent again after a well-deserved stop at the Kögerlalm.
