This medium-difficulty tour runs along the sun-kissed slopes above Bad Hofgastein and combines trails with panoramic views and a relaxed alpine flair. The starting point is the valley station of the Schlossalmbahn cable car, from where the route is initially flat via the Wieden district and then uphill to Brandebengut. From here, the trail winds along an old alpine path up to the Biberalm. The wide paths allow a rhythmic start and always offer uninterrupted views of the valley. From the Biberalm, you leave the tree line behind you, but the narrow trails require coordination and concentration. The route leads over a hilly ridge over the Schwarzwand and then downhill towards the Schmaranzalm - an ideal place for a short break with a view of the surrounding peaks. The way back leads over a forest trail with partly soft ground and partly rooty passages to the Funderalm. The varied route continues towards the centre of Bad Hofgastein, where the trails promise light-flooded clearings as well as perfect conditions for fast downhill sections with guaranteed flow. A route for connoisseurs with sporty aspirations - ideal for longer trail days with panoramic views and alpine character.
