The large number of huts on the high plateau of the Rax is what makes hut hopping so attractive. The trails lead you through mountain pines, up to mountain tops, past rocks and a plenty of impressive views - in between you can enjoy your well-earned breaks in the huts.
If you want to experience a sunset or sunrise on the mountain, you can also extend the tour on more days.
Good planning is the key! Plan your tour according to your wishes and reserve a place to sleep in your chosen hut in advance.
The following huts are not located directly on the Rax: Naturfreundehaus Knofeleben, Speckbacher Hütte and Weichtalhaus.
