Brandenburger Haus

It is the highest hut in the Ötztal Alps, located at 3,272 meters. It is also known as the Glacier Castle. The hut is only accessible via the glacier, making it an alpine mountain tour that requires proper mountaineering equipment. It is perfect for acclimatization training.

The high-alpine hike leads from Vent over glacier fields to the Brandenburger Haus. Due to glacier crossings, high-alpine experience and appropriate equipment are necessary (duration: approx. 6 hours). A detailed route description can be found on the linked website.
