The Draugstein is one of the three limestone mountains in the Großarltal, alongside Schuhflicker and Höllwand. Its distinctive rock formation and alpine character make it a special summit destination for experienced hikers.
At the foot of the Draugstein are the serviced Draugstein pastures (Steinmannhütte and Schrambachhütte), which are ideal for a stopover. Especially in early summer, the diverse flora around the limestone massif is worth seeing.
Drive with the car or the hiking taxi to the Hallmoosalm parking lot, ascend from there or drive with your own car or take the post bus Ellmautal No. 541 to the Grundlehen parking lot and ascend from there.
