The Keeskogel is the highest mountain in the Großarl Valley and the only glacier mountain in the valley. It dominates the head of the valley in Hüttschlag and is considered one of the most prominent peaks in the region. As part of the Hohe Tauern, it rises significantly above the surrounding mountain landscape. Both in summer and winter, the Keeskogel is a destination for experienced alpinists. Its high alpine location, the remnants of glaciers, and the impressive summit shape make it a unique feature in the Großarl Valley.
Take bus number 540 to the Hüttschlag Talschluss stop.
