Eisklettern "Alice"

If you are looking for a challenge on the rocks in winter, ice climbing is just the thing for you. A hot tip for exciting ice climbing for beginners and advanced climbers is the Tiefenbachgraben in Breitenau am Hochlantsch. A 25-minute ascent leads to the 23 m high “Alice” icefall (difficulty around WI 4). A wooden scaffolding has been erected under the waterfall to support the ice, so it cannot collapse. As the water can be diverted, the icefall can also withstand periods of heat.
