Along the Lambach is the so-called Kathreiner Mühlental. It gets its name from the 20 mills that once stood there and processed grain into flour - without electricity, driven solely by the power of water that powered the mill wheels. Today, two operational mills remain, which have been painstakingly restored by the Kathrein residents on a voluntary basis - the Winkelbauer mill is one of these two mills.
You can always take a look inside through the access behind the mill. However, if you want a closer look into past times, you can learn more about the history and technology of the stream mill during a guided tour through the show mill.
An appointment for the tour must be made by calling +43 3179 / 8500!
To the starting point of the Mühlental hike, where you can find the Winkelbauermühle, you can travel by bus number 205.
