The Dreiländerregion Böhmerwald invites you to unlimited hiking. The Bohemian Forest Ridge extends over 3 countries: Upper Austria, Bavaria and the Czech Republic. Crossing borders is no problem on the trails. The many different trails run partly along the rivers Kleine, Große and Steinerne Mühl and through the sparse forests in the Mühlviertel to it's highest point the Plöckenstein with 1378 m. The positive forest climate is enhanced by the radiation of the granite and gives the hikers new strength for their life. Over 20 of the strongest power stations are connected with the path of deceleration - Böhmerwaldrundweg. Hospitality is very important for accommodation and catering establishments.
