Start at the bike and MTB info point at the P3 Wasserfeld car park in Hopfgarten. From there, follow the signs 268 / 269 on the Grafeweger Straße to the bridge over the Brixentaler Ache river. Cross the bridge and after the underpass you reach the centre of Hopfgarten. Now turn right, pass the information office and continue to the valley station of the mountain railway. At the cable car, the route now leads steeply uphill on asphalt. In numerous hairpin bends you now 'climb' past the Sunnseit Hütte to the middle station and the inn Gasthof Tenn. About 500 m after the middle station, you reach a junction. Keep left there. Now pass the Kochmoos farm, one of the highest farms in the Brixental. Up there you have spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and the villages of the Holiday Region Hohe Salve. At the junction with the large forest road that now follows (connection option no. 268 to Alpengasthof Rigi and Kleine Salve), turn left, where you pass the next wonderfully situated farm after a short descent.
The route leads downhill again on asphalt, later on a forest path to the district of Laiming and on to the rose village of Itter. You cross this until you reach the football pitch. From there, return to Hopfgarten on a wide forest path via Hacha.
