A lovely racing bike tour to the smallest town in Tyrol. On your way, several bathing lakes invite you to a refreshing stop. So don’t forget to take your swimwear with you! Start the tour at the tourist information office in Hopfgarten. Cross the town centre and ride in the direction of Tirolerhof and the camp site Itter. At the Steindl Glas company you get to the old federal road which leads you past the inn Gasthof Hauserwirt to Bruckhäusl. Ride through the railway underpass in Bruckhäusl (train station) and continue on a gravel path along the river Brixentaler Ache to Wörgl. From there the Inn Valley Cycling Path leads you further on to Rattenberg, the smallest town in Tyrol. Comfortably without any inclines worth mentioning you get to this so-called “town of glass” – A visit to the Augustin Museum, to the historic sleeping quarters in the blacksmiths’ houses, the Nagelschmiedhäuser, the ancient parish church and the glass blower Kisslinger are absolutely recommendable. Leave the cycling path in Rattenberg and follow the well sign-posted road towards Kramsach and further on to the lakes (sign =“zu den Seen”). The road leads you constantly uphill until the first lake, Krummsee, and then continues almost flat to the next lake, Reintalersee. The two lakes are among the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol and a huge sunbathing area, restaurants and snack bars invite you to have a break. Leave the winding road now and ride on towards Breitenbach. On your way there, soon after the lakes, you come past the Kramsacher Höfemuseum, the Museum of Tyrolean Farmsteads, where you find the oldest farmhouses in Tyrol. Go on straight ahead and without any great difficulty you will get to Breitenbach. Keep to the right at the roundabout and cross the bridge above the inn. After the bridge, at the right side opposite the X-Rider biking store continue downhill underneath the bridge and ride on along the Inn cycling path again which takes you back to your starting point.
