From the parish church Wiesing walk to the “Rofansiedlung” housing estate, continue in the direction “Astenberg” and from there, keep right until you reach the “Schicht”. From here walk along the road, past the “Burgaukopf”, continue to the “Alpbühelalm” mountain hut (not serviced) and the “Wiesinger Skihütte” mountain hut (not serviced) until you reach the “Schermsteinalm” mountain hut (not serviced). From here a footpath heads off to the right and after crossing the steep southern slope, you will reach the “Sonnwendjoch” summit. On the return route follow the same trail back to Wiesing.
