Find the animals in the woodsWe live in a stunning natural landscape. The fantastic Dolomite area is a natural habitat for a large number of wild animals such as deer, chamois, foxes, squirrels, marmots and hares. It is difficult for us to see these animals as they live in the wild. This reflection led to the idea of an “Animals in the Woods“ themed path, which we have divided into two Tours. So you can get to see the animals in any case, as life-sized carved figures along the routes.Tour One: Start out from the parish church in Selva and proceed towards the Dantercëpies cable car station. Behind Hotel Scoiattolo take path no. 12B, which leads to the “Sai Uedli" viewpoint. From there the path descends into Vallunga/Langental to the St. Sylvester’s Chapel. At the chapel follow The Way of the Cross no. 26 to Daunëi and from there take path no. 3, which will bring you to the Juac mountain hut. Taking instead path no 17A from Daunëi you will see more animals. Return along the same path.Tour Two: Take path no. 27 from the Ciampinoi cable car station in the centre of Selva. Turn left at Hotel La Pineta and follow the path as far as La Sëlva. Return along the same route back to the starting point.A detailed map showing the exact location of each of the animal figures is available at the tourist information office.
