From the starting point at Klammstein, you ride via the village of Maierhofen through the centre of Dorfgastein. The route continues along the "Alte Straße" to Bad Hofgastein, Harbach. Along the Alpe Adria cycle path you pass through the centre of Bad Hofgastein, then on to Bad Bruck. After an ascent over the Badberg, you pass the Bad Gastein waterfall and continue to the Bad Gastein spa and tourism association at Mozartplatz. After joining the Erzherzog Johann Promenade, follow this until you reach the railway crossing. From the level crossing, follow the road upwards until you reach the Streitberggut. From here the road leads back towards Bad Hofgastein. The trail leads via the district of Lafen and the Weitmoserschlössl via the Schlossalm car park to Wieden. Via the districts of Laderding, Harbach and Luggau, the road continues along the railway line to Unterberg and back to the starting point at Klammstein.
