From Bad Hofgastein it goes on a beautiful trail along the waterfall to the Annencafé and then on to the Rastötzenalmen. After these first 800 hm the tree line is reached and the view of the surrounding peaks is promising. From the Schmalzscharte the path leads along the ridge to the Frauenkogel, from where you can admire the Grossarl Valley and the Gastein Valley. Continuing along the ridge, you soon reach the Gamskarkogel. Europe's highest Grasberg rewards with a breathtaking 360-degree panorama far beyond the Gastein Valley.
