Day 3: from Pinegg -> Aschau -> Anderl´s Hütte -> Lake Zirein -> mountain hut Bayreuther Hütte --> approx. 7- 8 h
From Pinegg walk along the tarmacked road towards Aschau. Just before the uphill turn left onto a forest track and continue along the track to the next crossing and further uphill to the Jausenstation Stegerstall; cross the road and follow the trail to the Gasthof Haaser; cross the "Burgstall" dip and continue on to Wimm and via a forest track first to the Eilalm and then to "Anderl´s Hütte" (approx. 3 h 30 min) - enjoy a typical "Brettljause", a refreshing drink and the beautiful view. The hike continues on via the Labeggalm and the Kreuzeinhochleger to the Roßkogel Saddle. Time permitting either hike up to the Roßkogel or stop off at the Berghaus Sonnwendjoch. The hike back leads through Alpine meadows via Lake Zirein (approx. 2 h from Anderl´s Hütte). Hike along the trail behind the lake for a short stretch uphill to the Zireiner Alm and to the Bayreuther Hütte (approx. 1 h 30 min from Lake Zirein).
