If you start your gravel and bikepacking adventure in the northern regions of the Black Forest Highlands, you can expect quiet plateaus that alternate with the ups and downs of the deep valleys and high mountains. Whenever you climb the mountains here, you will be accompanied by their rugged and rocky slopes. Especially in autumn, the frozen ground crunches under your wheels early in the morning, the air is icy and clear.
The leaves turn into a colourful carpet, every metre on the bike takes concentration to keep on track. With this focus, every breath and the flow of clear air into your lungs, your thoughts become freer, every exhalation causes little clouds of breath to rise in front of you.
And so it is simply a special spot in the Black Forest Highlands that you will find here, a place where you can switch off and really find yourself.
