Hike 7 of the 9 Almkulinarik-Huts and get a cooking-book from Richard Rauch

After a successful start to the project in June 2019, “Almkulinarik by Richard Rauch” will now be available for the first time in winter as well. Beginning in December 2019, winter sports fans in Schladming-Dachstein will be able to enjoy first-class gourmet-quality cooking at different mountain huts. 33-year-old star chef Richard Rauch - known in Germany from the TV cooking show "Küchenschlacht" and from daily ORF program "Schmeckt perfekt" - develops a special Alpine-style dish together with the hut owner, which will then be offered throughout the summer at their hut. Richard Rauch guarantees that the dishes will be exceptional and extraordinarily tasty. After all, he has been awarded a Gault Millau toque since 2006 and was crowned “Chef of the Year” in 2014 with 17 out of a possible 20 points.

An ideal culinary winter holiday in Schladming-Dachstein looks like this: Enjoy wintertime activities to your heart’s content and stop in at a different participating hut every day, where you will be able to order their specialty Almkulinarik dish. A total of 14 different huts alongside the pistes, cross-country trails and winter hiking paths in the Schladming-Dachstein Region are taking part. The dishes will be available at huts beginning in December.
