The approximately 300-kilometer-long long-distance cycling route combines picturesque towns with varied landscapes between nature and cultural experiences. A tour that couldn't be more diverse.
What a starting point, what a destination: From the picturesque Heidelberg to the equally beautiful Lake Constance, this cycling route takes you right through Baden-Württemberg, 300 kilometers from north to south. It is just as varied as it is hilly, beginning with the thousand hills of the Kraichgau, passing through valleys and over heights of the Black Forest, before the efforts are rewarded with wonderful descents from Donaueschingen. Along the route of this tranquil and mostly rural cycling path, you'll pass through the asparagus landscape of the Kurpfalz around Reilingen and St.Leon-Rot, the gold city of Pforzheim, the birthplace of Hesse in Calw, Baden-Württemberg's oldest city Rottweil, the source of the Danube in Donaueschingen, and the Hohentwiel castle ruins near Singen, Germany's largest fortress. Those who make it this far are very close to their destination and can almost smell the mild air of Lake Constance.
