The 106 km long Remstal Cycle Path is an adventure tour through picturesque landscapes, blooming wine culture, past impressive half-timbered buildings, and through idyllic orchards.
With a route featuring few inclines along the Rems, passing beautiful parks, barbecue and adventure playgrounds, the Rems beaches, canoe rental stations, and beach volleyball courts, you can easily plan the tour with the whole family.
Starting at the train station in Weinstadt-Endersbach, you cycle through the vineyards to the confluence of the Rems and the Neckar, then to the foothills of the Ostalb to Aalen. A detour to the Rems' source in Essingen is recommended.
While traveling through the Remstal, you pass traditional inns, wineries, cozy wine taverns, and beer gardens. At some places, you can even collect points! Many parts of the Remstal Cycle Path have been significantly upgraded and newly constructed in recent years.
The Remstal Cycle Path has been awarded four stars by the ADFC as a quality cycle route. It is continuously signposted, and you will find blue "Rems waves" as ground markings for orientation.
The path has 12 checkpoints; for 6 points (2 stages) you earn bronze, 9 points earn you silver (3 stages), and all 12 points earn you gold (4 stages).
