Start in Oberau at the Raiffeisen Back and take the steep Minzweg Path on route 11 for one of the loveliest panoramic views in the Wildschönau Valley. Just a further 20 minutes uphill walk will take you to the Achental Alm.
Wednesday is "Nudel Day" and Anna's famous mouth-watering doughnuts scent the air around the hut. Enjoy them with fresh cranberry jam or with apple sauce or like the locals, with a hearty bean soup.
The route 25 takes us to the Zwecklhof Farm, a schnapps and liqueur distillery run by connoisseur Sigi Kistl. Try his excellent wares while enjoying the unforgettable views from his home.
