Start in Oberau at the swimming pool and take the main road to Oberau and Roggenboden (turn left after the Gasthof Dorferwirt). After the Hotel Talhof turn left onto the Sonnberg road and take the switchback curves all the way up to the Horler Stiege Chapel. (5 km) From here it's just a short ride to the left on the gravel path to the Käse Alm (Cheese Farm), a beautiful old hut with fantastic views. Return the same way you came or
continue on the walking route nr. 2.
Attention - there are a lot of walkers on this route so please reduce your speed drastically. At the wooden gate you have to dismount and push your bike for approx. 500m. Bear right and meet either the route 353 or 248 both of which lead approx 3.5 km back to Niederau. Take the main road back to your starting point in Oberau.
