Start at the Tourist Office (open air pool). Follow the L3 Wildschönau road to Oberau. opposite the Gasthof Dorferwirt turn left towards Roggenboden. At the Hotel Silberberger turn left uphill onto the Sonnberg road. Follow this for a further 5 km. At the tiny Horlerstiegl Chapel turn left onto a wide open path to the Brixentaler Holzalm (Cheese Alm) Here you can stop for rest and refreshments. Continue on the "Shared Trail" for a further 1.5 km. There is short stretch through the woods where you must dismount and push your bike. This route joins the bike path 353 which leads back downhill to the main road on a partially steep gravel path. From here you join the main road, turn left and ride another 1.5 km to your starting point. Alternatively take the 248 route from the top back down to Hopfgarten.
