From the car park of the “Achenseeschifffahrt” (shipping company) the trail starts as a lakeside path first and then turns into a path in direction “Gaisalm”. After crossing some plains you will reach the “Gaisalm” mountain hut. From there, a path leads through the rocky area to the neighbouring village of Achenkirch. The northern lakeshore is not accessible but via a little detour you can walk to the jetty “Scholastika”.
