From the top station of the Rofan cable car walk past the “Mauritzalm” mountain hut (signposted) and from there descend, then continue on the flat path until you cross two steep ridges to the “Grubastiege”. Walk past a memorial tablet to the “Grubalacke”. Ascend over alpine meadows and continue to the junction (signposted) and keep to the right until you reach the “Grubascharte”. The path continues straight ahead, almost flat until it reaches a junction. Turn to the left and over some steep bends walk along the ridge until you reach the grassy summit of the “Rofanspitze” and enjoy the fantastic view. Follow the route you took on the ascent back to the top station of the Rofan cable car.
