This tour takes you from Going to the Astberg with its panoramic views and back to the village.
It heads through forest and meadows, with a particular attraction being the fantastic view over the Kaisergebirge and the Kitzbüheler Horn mountain.
Start the tour at the hiking starting point Going Zentrum (former Tourismus Info Going) (764m) and follow the village road (DorfstraÃe). Pass the Raiffeisenbank and turn right over the bridge towards the church square. After the kEISer ice cream factory, keep left and turn into the Söllnerweg. Follow the signpost for âHollenauer Kreuzâ.
After approx. 160 meres, turn right onto trail no. 7 and hike up to the Hollenauer Kreuz hut. Cross the asphalt road and follow the signpost to the left towards the Astberg/Blattlalm.
The path will lead you through meadows and along the forest until you reach the Blattlalm mountain hut located in a clearing. The steepest part is already done here and now you have earned a refreshmenton the sun terrace of the Blattlalm. The Astbergsee lake, which is also known as the âmirror of the Wilder Kaiserâ and is one of the power places of the Wilder Kaiser, is also a wonderful place to linger.
After a break, follow the trail no. 9, then turn right onto the path and hike across green pastures to the Jezz AlmResort. From here, a wide path along the edge of the forest leads back to the Astberg/Blattlalm.
Keep left and hike along the meadow path until you come to the Hollenauer Kreuz hut, where you can enjoy homemade apple strudel from the comfort of a deckchair. The path leads you left through the meadow towards the valley until you reath an asphalt road 'Lanzenweg' at an intersection. Follow this in the direction of the village centre to get back to the starting point.
