Start in the centre of Ellmau. Take the footbridge there towards the district of Wimm and follow the trail until you reach the former Gasthof Riesen inn. From Riesen, the beautiful circular walk is also ideal for snowshoeing. Now follow the winter hiking trail through the magnificent winter landscape to the Biedringer Alm mountain hut (1,131 m, does not feature any establishments that serve food). Here, you can marvel at the breathtaking view of the Wilder Kaiser region blanketed in deep snow. This is the perfect place to stop for something to eat before returning to the valley via the farms in Biedring.
