Start is at the information office in Kössen, through the Ortstzentrum and on the Mühlbergweg rising to the high bridge. From there branching off, the footpath leads through a forest on the Mühlbergweg. Turn left, after a few meters turn right at the Schafflerbauernhaus, follow the path and pass the Rinderbrachalm and Frankenalm (farmed). Continue to the Dichtleralm and a forest, across the Sauermöseralm to Sonnwendköpfl. From there the way leads you to the Taubensee and the Taubenseehütte. Directly at the Taubenseehütte the trail goes back to the Schafflerhof and on the same way it goes back to the starting point.
