The views of the Kitzbüheler Horn are a real feast for the eyes right from the very beginning of this hike, which starts from the hiking inforrnation point. The route follows the ski slope in Reith, past the Veitl chapel to the Wirtsalm and Scharlwandalm mountain huts. lt then passes the reservoir on the Astberg and continues to what is probably the most popular viewpoint in the region: the Hollenauer Kreuz, where the Wilde Kaiser mountain range feels close enough to touch. The route down leads towards Reith via Wimmau and Zimmerau . The Zimmerau farmstead also has a farm shop where you can buy mountain cheese from the Hochwildalm. Stunning panoramic views of Kitzbühel 's Südberge mountains accompany you for the last few metres of the hike back to the starting point. Our tip: don't forget your Swarovski binoculars because this hike is a unique expcrience.
