Der Burgstall liegt am gleichnamigen Westgipfel des Hohen Bogen auf 976m. Aussichtspunkt mit herrlichem Ausblick zur Further Senke bis ins Nachbarland Tschechien. Die Sendeanlage, die am Burgstall steht, wird vom Bayerischen Rundfunk betrieben.
