The Riedlhütte is located on the Wilder Kaiser and belongs to the municipality of Ellmau in Tyrol. It is not accessible by car. Thus, it lies in untouched nature in the middle of the nature reserve.

Hikers, day trippers and tourers are well catered for with a menu of food and drinks for their physical well-being.
