Difficult round tour through the wild and romantic valleys Gleirschtal and Gießenbachtal with a stop at the hut Oberbrunnalm. The round tour starts at the Information Office Scharnitz - turn left from the Information Centre into Hinterautalstraße and follow it to the restaurant Gasthof Wiesenhof, which is located on the right-hand side. Follow the gravel road until you reach the first junction. Turn right here and follow the road downhill to the bridge over the river Isar. After you have crossed the bridge, follow the path uphill. Follow the road to the next junction - turn right again. After several challenging sections along the valley Isertal, you will reach the Oberbrunnalm at 1523 metres above sea level. The Oberbrunnalm with its homemade specialities and beautiful sun terrace invites you to linger and relax. The strenuous part of the tour is now over. From the Oberbrunnalm to Gießenbach you go through the valley Karltal - along the river Gießenbach - from now on downhill until you reach the village Gießenbach. Cross the main road and follow the path through Gießenbach until you reach Scharnitz again. When you arrive in Scharnitz, follow the "Sportplatzweg" until you reach the bridge that crosses the stream. Turn left after the bridge into Hirlanda-Ellmann-Weg, follow it until Innsbruckerstraße, cross Innsbruckerstraße and turn right after the church into Hinterautalstraße. Follow Hinterautalstraße until you see the Information Office Scharnitz on your left after a few minutes.
