The tour starts at parking lot Stupfer P2 in the Gaistal and begins with a steep 400-meter ascent until reaching trail no. 9. The path continues through the mountain forest, offering beautiful views of the surrounding peaks and the Hohe Munde along the way.
At the Waldsteig junction, there are two options to reach the huts: Stay on trail no. 9, which climbs more gradually. Or take the steeper trail to the left, which leads more directly to the top. Both routes end at the Wettersteinhütte and Wangalm, which are close to each other. This is a great place for a break, with beautiful views and delicious regional food.
