Hammerunterwiesenthal ist seit seiner Erweiterung um 1900 die größte Zwischenstation der Fichtelbergbahn. Bis zur Einstellung des Güterverkehrs wurde ein Großteil über diesen Bahnhof abgewickelt. Vom "Bimmelbahnblick" hat man nun einen tollen Ausblick.
