In the centre of Landl this tour begins on the main road to Bayrischzell. After 400m turn left onto the forest road heading for Riedenberg and Grabenbergalm (1414m) – the highest point of the tour. There is brief section where you will need to get off and push the bike over a small river. The route continues to the inviting Ackernalm (alpine cheese dairy) and Valepp in Bavaria. Before Valepp, keep to the right across the Elendsattel on the north side of the Sonnwendjoch, then down to the Grundalm and on to the Zipflwirt. On the country road it is a quick ride via the Ursprungpass back to Landl to the starting point. (Please note that the Zipflwirt is currently closed)
Hint: The exhausting ascent to the Grabenbergalm spares you from the heavily traveled toll road to the Ackernalm.
