Starting from the mountain station of the Markbachjochbahn cable car (by the way, rides are included in the Wildschönau Card), you go on an extended hike.
From the Markbachjoch cable car take route nr. 2 past the Brixentaler Holzalm aka Cheese Alm. The route continues through the forest to the first peak, the Feldalphorn. Three more summits along the way provide unforgettable views.
The end of the hike is at the Schönanger Alm, at the very end of the valley. The cheese dairy there is one of the Wildschönau's "must-sees".
NEW from MAY 2023 - the new Wildschönau HIKING BUS
The biggest news in the region this year is the new hiking bus, transporting hikers through the Wildschönau. The bus is included in the Wildschönau Card.
