This hike starts at the paid Hinterberg parking lot in Gasteig/Kirchdorf. Follow the trail past Heizerbauer towards Pfarralm/Feistötzalm. After a few minutes you will get to pasturelands that resemble a plateau. The size of the mountain hut there suggests that it once served as farmhouse. The hike continues along a narrow and relatively flat trail through a beautiful forest before reaching the open pasture of Feistötzalm. This is the last mountain hut in the Kirchdorf municipality without road access. Unfortunately the building has been vacant for a long time and is in complete disrepair. Continue across the pasture to Prostalm (closed on Mondays) where you can stop for a bite to eat before resuming your way through Teufelsgasse. Backtrack until you get to the signs pointing to Teufelsgasse. Inside Teufelsgasse you can choose from different loops to explore the surroundings. Exciting new features along the hike include the Devil’s Circle, the Devil’s Throne and the Devil’s Pulpit. At the end of Teufelsgasse, pick up the forest road to get back to the Hinterberg parking lot.
