The starting point is the Gasteiner Höhenweg, from which a marked AV trail branches off shortly before reaching the Kötschachtal. In serpentines, it winds its way through the forest and across alpine meadows for about 500 meters in altitude over a relatively short distance until you finally reach the Poserhöhe. Not only the view of the hut is picturesque, but also the view of Bad Gastein and the Stubnerkogel!
