The sunny panoramic trail lies approx. 100 metres above the valley floor and always guarantees a beautiful view.
Starting at the beginning of the Kötschachtal valley (Bad Gastein) at the âGrüner Baumâ bus stop, you walk the first section along a tarmac road to the Gamskar café in Bad Gastein. Continue past moderately steep meadows and slopes to the Gadauner Gorge natural monument. Spectacular tunnels were blasted out of the vertical rock faces between 1934 and 1938. Passing worthwhile resting places and an old mountain farm, you reach the historic Rauchberg mills, after which your destination is not far away. The descent to the centre of the village is via a small path past the Bad Hofgastein Cafe Gamskar, which invites you to take a well-earned break.
