Take the Schlossalmbahn to the middle station, where your hike begins. Take the forest road towards Bärsteinalm and continue downhill. Follow the signs in the direction of Angertal. Walk along the Angertalstraße for approx. 100m in the direction of Bad Hofgastein and turn off there at the Wastlinggut. There the path leads you steeply downhill over the Angertalbach stream to Hartlgut. From the Hartlgut, follow the asphalt road until you reach the turnoff to Bad Gastein in a bend. Take the road in a southerly direction to the Streitberghof farm, from where you first reach Bad Gastein via a gravel path and then via the Erzherzog-Johann-Promenade.
