Description

The hut is located in probably the most impressive valley of the Schladminger Tauern. The path to the hut is characterized by lakes and waterfalls. From the parking area Seewigtal, along the Styrian Bodensee via the waterfall path, it can be reached in about 1.5 hours. The Hans-Wödl-Hütte is an ideal day trip destination and also the starting point for climbing the Hohe Wildstelle (2,747 m) as well as the Höchstein (2,543 m).

As a state-certified mountain & ski guide, Sepp Schweiger can provide valuable tips, as he has been the hut host at the Hans-Wödl-Hütte for 15 years now.
