Wasserburg und im speziellen der Marienplatz mit dem Rathaus und der Frauenkirche ist ein beliebter Drehort für zahlreiche Filme und Fernsehserien. So wurden u.a. Szenen in der Fernsehserie „Ärzte Dr. Schwarz und Dr. Martin" (1993 – 1999) und in den Kinderfilmen „TKKG" und „Herr Bello" am Marienplatz gedreht.
