The Gschnitztal can confidently be called the valley of huts, because hardly any other Tyrolean valley has so many managed mountain huts. Popular with mountaineers since time immemorial, the Gschnitztal with the two villages of Trins and Gschnitz was awarded the distinction of mountaineering village of the Alpine Club in 2019.
Starting from the Gschnitztal, a total of six managed huts can be reached. The huts arrange themselves in such a way that from the starting point Trins or Gschnitz the hikes can be considered as a "star".
